Infusion of capital is staged and based on the portfolio company’s measurable progress. At acceptance, the management team and Venture Farm will jointly develop unique / company dependent key performance indicators that will help everyone focus on progress and results. At the beginning of each quarter Venture Farm Managing Partner, the assigned Advisor and the Management team for the portfolio company, formally access the company’s progress and strategy. The process leads to development of a series of agreed upon milestones – the next steps – as well as allocation and release of additional capital. During the first 90 days of our relationship with the portfolio company we will focus on strategy refinements, needs assessment, IP & Customer verifications – hands on Deeper Due Diligence coupled with limited funding. During the second quarter, the focus becomes full force execution with expanded funding based on company’s specific needs and performance criteria. Additionally, the portfolio company is informally discussed with affiliates to identify next stage fundability parameters. The third quarter is focused on continued execution, business model refinement to address next stage growth and fundability needs. This effort is coupled with expanded funding based on company’s specific needs and performance criteria. At this stage, our objective to either be engaged in an open dialog with follow-up funding sources or be in discussions with strategic investors. During the fourth and final quarter, the portfolio company is getting ready for graduation and is engaged in full scale execution coupled with expanded funding based on company’s specific needs and performance criteria. Graduation is typically coupled with either the next stage funding or a transactional event.
